On the 31st of August, Peter Gabriel and José Antonio Abreu received the Polar Music Prize at the Stockholm Concert hall by His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf. The celebrations continued afterwards at the Grand Hôtel where a banquet was held in their honour with over 500 invited guests. Swedish artists such as Salem al Fakir, Martin Stenmarck, Uno Svenningsson, Maia Hirasawa, Andreas Johnson, Moto Boy, Eric Gadd as well as the music school Lilla Akademien gave performances to celebrate the two laureates and entertain during the day and at the evening's banquet.
JAYS was supporting the event by handing out our v-JAYS headphones to all guests attending the banquet at the Grand Hôtel. We had a great time being there and it was truly a pleasure discussing music and sound with so many enthusiastic music lovers.
Finally, we would like to give our bests to the two worthy winners of this year's Polar Music Prize, José Antonio Abreu and Peter Gabriel!
And to everyone who was there: Hope you had a great evening and hope you enjoy your new v-JAYS headphones.
