This week’s Swedish lesson comes from Fredrik Thordendal, guitar player in the genius Swedish metal band Meshuggah.

We sent him a pair of our v-JAYS headphones which he spoke of as:

(Sv) "Fan vilka underbara ljudfordon!" - (En) "Damn such wonderful sound vehicles!"

“…comfortable and amazingly good sound. I didn’t even think it was possible to get bass as good as this in such small open cans actually... Thanks!!!”

Thank You Fredrik, and what can I say - we just love being in the sound vehicle business!

Fredrik’s been a member of Meshuggah since it was formed in Umeå 1987 and has been playing the guts out of his 7- and 8-strings guitars ever since. Meshuggah is constantly evolving and pushing the envelope for each new album release with their innovative and extremely technical music. They’re one of Sweden’s most prominent metal bands and has been on US tours with both Tool and Slayer. So if you haven’t listened to these five metal workers before – It’s about time!

We also got a playlist from Fredrik to share with you guys. Too bad all tracks weren’t available on Spotify but you can listen to about half of them there anyway. The full list is shown below:

Devin Townsend - Ki - Terminal
Allan Holdsworth - Sand - 4:15 Bradford Executive
Gojira - From Mars To Sirius - Ocean Planet
Decapitated - Organic Hallucinosis - Flash - B(L)Ack
The Cardigans - Long Gone Before Daylight - Communication
Scarve - Irradiant - Mirthless Perspectives
Squarepusher - Go Plastic - Go! Plastic
Strapping Young Lad - City - Oh My Fucking God
Aphex Twin - Drukqs - Vordhosbn
Autechre - Chiastic Slide - Cipater
Battles - Mirrored - Atlas
Trans Am - Futureworld - Futureworld
Coldplay - X & Y - Speed Of Sound

It's a great list! And quoting himself, Devin Townsend’s Terminal is just “awesome”.
